Ok, I have an 85 Daihatsu Charade.. It has done 180k kms. Recently (during night only) it's been shutting itself down, the mechanic says its because the oil fumes are going through the engine and it doesn't like breathing it. So I was wondering what are some easy, fast ways to reduce or eliminate these fumes?(FYI It's only during the night that I have this problem)

Also, My alternator is only putting 13ish Volts to the battery (No where near enough). How can I get it pumping out more voltage? thanks. (link)
There is a couple of things you could do, to eliminate a lot of the oil fumes get a new oil filter. And you also probably need a new altenator. it shouldnt cost too much for a used alternator.
