Okay, don't keep cleaning the cage because they want to feel comforted. Bettas do this alot. Mine do as well. Offer food daily, some bettas just like different kinds of food, like pellets, or blood worms, so offer different types. And when you find one it like keep feeding the type of food preferd.

Well here are some pointers
-clean the cage every week (they poo alot)
-give him or her a bath every 3 months
-clean water out daily
-hay is a daily diet, so offer hay daily
-day food should be present
-take to the vet for check ups
-handle alot within the first few months
-get a turn out pen and keep in there for about 10-20 minutes for bonding (must be suprivised)
and thats about it :)

Hey,
This "cherry" is likely a cist. Im not sure how to spell it but it is not a HUGE deal but I would recommend taking your dog to the vet. Just to be sure!
