Ok, so I decided that instead of taking the chance having sex with just a condom that I want to go on birth control. Only problem is telling my mom I want to go to the gyno. I know I don't have to tell my parents but I would rather them knowing know then later on. I'm 18 and at college. Any good ways of saying it to them without basically saying I'm having sex?

Im pretty sure at 18 you can do it yourself but if you want to be honest with your mom sit her down and explain to her that you are 18 and responsible enough to know you need to use protection. She will be relieved to know you want to be extra safe because im sure she already figures you are sexually active and if she doesnt already know then trust me it wont affect her as much as if you were 13.
