My brother's girlfriend is coming with my family and I to California for a week. She's 16 and will be sharing a room with me for 7 days. Im only 13 and me and her are kinda close but not that close. My best friend is pissed off at me just because my science teacher chose my suggestion/idea on my project over my best friend's idea. She is giving me an attitude and is refusing to talk to me. What should I do? (link)

Your best friend seems a little jealous. This is perfectly normal with friends. However, do not, i repeat, DO NOT stop trying as hard in science just to appease your friend. Did your teacher make it clear that he favored your suggestion/idea over your friend's in front of the class? If so, she may be embarrassed.
