Hello world! The name's Megan. Meg for short. I'm eighteen years young and loving every second of it.
What most of you call "paradise," I call home. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui– a rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I fled the nest last summer to go to college in the quite dramatically different, very rainy Seattle, Washington.
Most of you will probably ask WHY?! The answer is simple. Change. Currently, that's what I'm all about. Change... trying new things... exploring and expanding my horizons... getting out there and just experiencing life. As far as I'm concerned, change is inevitable, so you might as well embrace it.
My latest escapade: Learning to love indiscriminately and extravagantly. I'm trying this new crazy thing where I love OTHERS more than I love myself... which is why I am starting an advice column. Hopefully, I will be able to help someone, somewhere out there with a problem. And that ONE person, would make all of this worth it.

All my friends are so much prettier and skinnier than me, and it lowers my self esteem. They are always the ones that get all the guys attention, and I hardly get any. I know it shouldnt matter at all, but it still bothers me. My friends dont treat me badly or anything, but im always worried that they are secretly thinking lower of me. Any suggestions on how to quit becoming so jealous and to stop thinking Im not good enough for my friends? (link)

Girl! I can totally relate!
A lot of my friends just got lucky with them genes, I guess.
Keep in mind, they're humans... worse than that... they're teenage girls. Just know that they are probably thinking the same thing that you are. They are just as worried about the way they look and the way they dress as you are. There will always be some one prettier, smarter, funnier, and skinnier than you... no matter how good (or bad, for that matter) you think you are.
Just remember that ol' cliche, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." And "It's what's inside that counts." You ARE beautiful.
Be good to yourself and treat yourself to a mani/pedi or get a fab new haircut or splurge a little bit on a cute top. You'll feel better in no time! :)
