advice here from college students would be greatly appreciated!!! i'm 19 and just started at Boston University this September, but i live in Chicago. at first it was the normal homesickness, missing friends and family, and having it be hard to be 1800 miles away from home. things started getting better, but for some reason, i can't see to make myself happy here. i have a few friends here, but no guys friends (that's partly due to the fact that i live on an all girls floor, and also partly my fault, so i won't complain about that) i'm really close with a couple of the girls on my floor, and one or two other people, but that's pretty much it. i feel lonely here, and as hard as i try, i can't stop thinking about home and missing it. part of that has to do with the fact that i have a bf who's in college but still lives in chicago, so i only get to see him when i come home. i know im supposed to have fun and be experiencing college, but i feel like i'm missing out on so much, but i don't know how to fix it! i don't know how to make myself accept the fact that i'm in college, and NOT at home, and be HAPPY with that. i want to be happy here, and i want to have a good time. please help me. any advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks (link)

Dude i just think u should go home on the weekends and try to get more involed.. like i used to not like goin to church.. cuz i didn't no ne one.. but i got involed and now i love it!

ok my best friend ill call her sally is doing some innapropriate things and i dont know if i should tell my parents of not and she has this boyfriend who i relly dont like him and i told her but she says she is still gonna go out w/ him but it hurts my feelins that she put a boy shes know for a week above her best friend shes known for a year wat should i do?? i have this one friend... lets call her Liz.. Liz always used to come over my house, we always used to hang out.. there wasnt a day where we werent together.. cuz she lives rite down tha road.. but all of a sudden.. this summer.. she never comes over..she never calls.. n i never hear from her.. then i found out she was hangin w/ another girl that was a few years younger \than us.. I TOTALLY DONT MIND THAT but i mean i never see her any more.. the girl she hangs out with doesnt like me so i dont bother hangin out with them wen they r together.. but i feel like mah 2nd half has been torn away!

I would talk to "Liz" and c what she cs n the girl.. mayb if u started hangin out with her then u could hang out with Liz again and gain a new friend! I hope i helped!!
