My friend threw a party at her house in early may which i didn't attend because I was sick. Anyway, from what I heard, it was stupid/boring/not much/etc. She's throwing one Aug. 12 & she's asking for my help so I started by setting up a guestlist. What can I do to make this a really awesome house party? I really want her to be able to say that she had a great time at her party. So my questions are:
*Would it be better to have a theme? like dance party and decorate her garage with crazy lights & music or just a chill party... eat food, do some stuff?
*Should we send out invitations or is that too 3rd grade-ish? (I would probably design these)
*What kind of food/drinks should she plan on getting?
*What are some fun things to suggest playing/doing? I don't want to have to make people do anything like a little kid party but maybe some organization would be good.
details:
we'd probably have it in her 2 car garage. it'd be about 25 people there total. We don't have a ton of money to put into this... I do have a lot of hose lights and things like that. We're all 15/16.

well i myself have had a couple of partys, all of which have been fun ass all hell(except for the fact that a couple kids have gotten hurt, but that's just cause we're monsters) But to answer your questions
1.Well it depends on the party, usally i have bonfires, which are great fun, but you must remember that a party is a liveing breathing thing, it needs air to breth into it, the people coming are not based on the party the party is based on the people, my friends are wild so we just light shit on fire, blow stuff up and go with the flow, let it run the course.
2. Only send invitations if you plan on having only certain people come, what i did is i would tell a couple of my friends and have them pass the word, makesit a suprise, never know whos goin to show (but you should try to keep tabs)
3.the best bet is soda and pizza, to cut the cost ask people comin to bring two dollars or shit like that if they plan on eating, based on the amount of people coming is how you should guess proportion
4. stuff like manhunt, a sprinkler, cards, the best thing to do is put out a bunch of stuff so that everyone has somthin to choose, people wanna play football, give em a ball, throw out some cards, w/e, all based on the attendence.
Btw, great partys don't need lots of money, great partys need some of these
1. music
2. crazy people
3. people willing to deal with the after math

Tonight me and my best friend hailey were planning on going ice skating. Hailey has been hvaing problems with her ex boyfriend and some girl he used to date. This girls name is Kimberly, and shes always talking trash about Hailey. Well shes getting a whole bunch of girls to go down to the ice skating rink tonight to fight hailey. Should we still go and just ignore their BS, or stay home and be scared? its such a hard decision. (link)

Try to calm her down, find out why, it's important to find out her plans, tell her to meet you somplace if you think she's in danger of herself and tell ehr parents to meet you there or invite her to your house. the most important thing is to KEEP HER NEAR BYE!

ok. well my friend.. shes had boy problems. and ive helped her through all of them. now, my dad was diagnosed with cancer. all she says is IM SORRY. doenst help me through it at all. her best friend is going to california for the rest of the summer. and i cant have my friend avoiding me like this for the summer. its not right. i dont know what to do, and i cant talk to anyone about it. i need serious help. Alright, well now after all these times that you've helped her she might feel that their is no way to help in your situation and all she can so is apologize, she may feel vunerable or helpless to aid you, therefore i recommend you tell her that she doesn't need to be sorry and you just need a friend, and that friend is her. If i am wrong and that's not the case i suggest calmly sittng down with her and talking about why she's avoiding you, i bet she isn't exactly enjoying it herself.

Muh bestest friend and me are having lots of fights latley cause her boyfriend is having sex with her, and doing crack and stuff. he's like 14, shes only 12. i'm 13 though. i dont like her being around him but she always sticks up for him, this has been happening lots for almost four monthz, how can i get hur back i miss hur! ok listen, crack is a very addictive drug, it's possible this kid is being abusive to your friend so her self-esteem is down or even because they have sex she feels that she "owes" him or has grown an attachment, but you MUST get her out of that situation, if she too gets involved in drugs it very well might be her life, so i say inform some adults, police of the drug abuse, w/e you feel necasary because the first step to recovering your friend is saving her

honestly i don't really no of a good way, but my advise is to get an older friend, sibling, anyone to byuy the test or visit a doctor, parents learning of what happened cannot be avvoided if she is preagnent also which must be remembered so it might be best to comeout and tell the parents
