this upcoming friday i'm going to a private gymnastics lesson, is there anything i should know in advance? i'm learning my backhand spring cause i need it for cheerleading next year.
i can't do a split right now so any advice on getting one quick; like by april? and toe touches?
for the back walkover, any easy ways to walk over? i can do a bridge but i can't quite walk over yet. i don't know why not cause i feel confident lol
:]
any tips for gymnastics or whatever, let me know please! (link)

for the backwalkover dont go to your toes when your in the bridge about to kick over.it stops you and gives you less force to push off with.so feep your feet flat on the ground.
hope i helped:)

Ok well I was in gymnastics when I was 4 and I went till I was 6. Then I basicly taught myself how to do everything like a front handspring, back walkover, etc. The problem is that I want to do a backhand spring. I know I could probably do it Im just too scared to try. I can do a backflip on the trampoline. So how should I start to do one? Like all the steps? Do I need a running start? Can I build it off of a back walk-over? (link)

well i can already do a backhandspring because im in gymnastics.what i did was learn the backhandspring first then the flip but it works the other way around too.all you have to do is be on a trampoline and do what you would do for a backflip except go lower and put yuor hands back.to get you started you can just do backflips and just put your hands back.well , thats about all there is to it you just have to do it a few times even though your scared and sooner or later you should get used to it and you wont be scared anymore.
hope i helped(atleast a little) :)

ok. i run track but i am soooo out of shape.. my friend and i are getting in shape and track tryouts are in less than a month. making it is not the problem.. i no ill make it i was on the teamm last year and my coach always talks to me and my friend about what events we are doing this year. but anyway. i guess u would have to no us to understand but our track coach expects ALOT from us so in gym we have to run a mile and he wants us to do it in under 7 minutes b/c we are in 8 grade and he said track runners in 8 grade should be able to run a mile in under 7 min. well we both have no endurance and are strictly sprinters. anybody have any tips in running a mile?
sorry its so long (link)

well, im a 7th grade track star and i no that this is hard for you.i just got my physical yesterday and did great but tryouts are on monday and the most ive run in past 6 months, at one time, is 2 miles.i ran that in the time it took me to run 3.1 miles the year before.what i would suggest is strecht as much as you possibly can, best if you do it every day up until tryouts, and then run a mile every day and time yourself each time and work towards beating your time for each new day.
there isnt really to much more you can do except hope for the best.hope this helps atleast a pinch:)
