16/f dating a 17 yr old. my boyfriend and i have been dating for almost two months now but ive known him forever and im completely in love with him and he loves me. well my mom brought up birth control once before but i kind of blew it off because i didnt think i would need it. i mean my periods are very short and light and i didnt plan on having sex any time soon. but my boyfriend and i have been talking about it lately and i sort of want to with him. im a virgin so im pretty scared about my first time but idk how to ask my mom for birth control again. i dont want her to think im going to go have sex because i dont even know if i want to. but i want to have it on hand just in case. my mom and i arent close at all. we fight entirely too much but i need to have this. how should i ask her ? any advice would help. but please dont tell me im too young for this or anything, i know what the risks are and im prepared to take the responibility. thanks in advance.

xoxo
confused and in love

hey, confused and in love
i'm 16/f too and i know where youa re comming fromm. things can be awkward with parents, expecially if you're not particularly close. in your case i think you should just come out and ask her to help you get it, just because she had already brought it up. she worst she coudl do is advise you against having sex but ultimatly it's your decision.
if you dont feel confortable asking her you can go to a clinic and get free birthcontrol pills or planned parenthood because they will provide you with low cost of free birthcontrol and will keep it confidential and not inform your parents.

good luck wiht everything :)
