ok, i'm dating a boy that's 15 and i'm 13. i asked my parents repetedly if they minded that he was older and they said no and that they trust me and him. well i don't think they do bc all my other friend are allowed to stay out till 11 or later and i have to be home before dark! i totally can't stand it anymore! me and my mom get in fights all the time and i can't handle it! i wish she'd just let me be a normal teen like everybody else! and my boyfriend is totally understanding too. so that is a plus! but what can i do to let my mom know that she can trust me to hang out down the street at my best friend's house after dark? and i mean it's not like her parents aren't there. they actually hang out with us. they're pretty kool. but i really need help with this! Ok...I know this sounds corny, but I think you should sit down and have a 'chat' with your mom. Ask her again,look her in the eye and say..." Do you care that he is older than me?" Tell them how you feel and then ask them to tell you how they feel! I know that you prolly don't want to talk to your parents like this...but the better relationship you have with your parents, the better off you are!
