First of all parents decisions don't always seem fair to us. We think they are being "over protective" when they are just doing what most good parents do. He probably just worries about you if you got into a car wreck or something similar to that. It doesn't matter what kind of driver the person you're wanting to ride with is he's also worried about all the other teenage drivers out there. True you could just as well be in a wreck with your dad but teenagers ARE less experienced drivers than your father. All that you can really do is just keep talking to him, in a mature manner of course. Tell him the reasons you should be riding with your friend [ reasons you want to ] and show him that you are mature and responsible enough to do so. Good Luck! I hope everything works out!
