about

Hi. Call me Jennifer. I was born on the 29th of April. I'm really random. Most people get annoyed cause I change the subject every five minutes. I'm not complicated at all. If I like you, I'd use a pick-up line or just tell you straight up. Mixed signals are messed up, fo' sho. My friends call me super cheesy and corny: I'm known as a fortune cookie [mainly true]. I'm immature, true that. If anything I'm growing down instead of up. If you wanna be my friend, use a knock-knock joke. It works every time. I have obsessions with single gender bands and I think I'm going through a country phase. [my iPod is tired of replaying Taylor Swift or Kellie Pickler] Giggling is like my trademark. [I have an obnoxious squeeky laugh] I can't be mad at a person if they say a funny word. I'm super clumsy and I always manage to embarass myself. I don't believe in blending in; I'm unique and I vow to never follow "stereotypical trends" cause I don't roll that way...[: I make people pinky then middle finger swear. [Cause pinky's don't swear] Neon colors are awesome cause they're like BANG and neon-y but my favorite color is black...go figure.

Oh and if you're wondering, I'm fresh meat to advicenators. It's pretty sick--like sick in a good way. Lol. So far my comments on this site is merely this, "YG, adopt me!" Just kidding. Google leaded me here, and the rest is history. Or soon will be...You get the point. Anyway, I guess I'm here to not only help out questioners but also to be a questionee. [If that makes sense]. I know my advice isn't the best and may be a tad cheesy, but I can't help it; that's just me. If you need help, my inbox is always open for any question [that's appropriate, of course] so don't hesitate. I rarely bite, raWr.

Heyy,

I'm having a New Year's party and I have NO idea what we should do. Its going to be a girl/boy party & we are all 9th graders & there are going to be 2 juniors. we don't want to play 7 minutes in heaven or anything like that, just like other fun games. Thanks! :)

I'm having a before New Years eve party with my friends so this is what we're planning to do;

We're making our very own non-alcoholic drinks. It's like a Shirley Temple but a blue color. It's also bubbly so it seems like alcohol but it's most definitely not.

We're also going to play Twister for fun and whoever wins gets a prize of some sort. Twister's so much fun because you get to move around and it's very challenging and always ends up with laughter.

It's going to be a dance party so for your party, why don't you get someone to be a DJ. It doesn't actually have to be a real DJ, it can be a friend who doesn't like to dance or something. You can get an iHome and just plug an iPod in it.

A possibility that we're doing is playing Don't Forget The Lyrics. To play it, get some music and a microphone like if you were to sing karaoke. Then towards the chorus, turn down the volume completely to see if the person knows the lyrics. It's actually quite fun.

Or, you could just do regular karaoke. Encourage everyone to sing, even if they're tone deaf. [just kidding].

You can make a time capsule where each person brings an item and you can bury it. Then next year you can open it with the same people and it'd be like reminiscing.

I know this sounds dorky but it's actually really fun. Get into big teams where each one has at least one camera/phone or camera phone. Then have someone print out a list of scavengers. You can run across the neighborhood and everything. To be honest, it's VERY fun. One thing that can be on the scavenger hunt is "address of corner store" if you live next to a corner store. Or you can give each team a dollar and ask them to get as many items as possible with it.

Be creative and have fun [:

If I could do anything, no strings attached, I would be a singer with a career like Josh Groban's. He has the opportunity to do what he loves (without anyone telling him what or how to sing), he is able to make a living at it, travel the world, and most importantly of all, help people through his position.

Like him, I am a singer. I love music, and I've written a couple of songs myself. But all my life I've been told that singing is not a practical thing to do with my life, that I'll just be a starving artist... how do I prove them wrong? I'm from a small town, but I'm about to go to college in a bigger city. How can I follow my dream? And how can I make sure that I will succeed? Please help, I need any advice that anyone can give me, anything from warm-ups to ways to build my career to how to make good connections. Please! I need your help.

I think the best way to start a career in the music industry is by putting yourself out there. Make a music MySpace and upload your original songs. From there you can make a YouTube account and hope to get noticed. Many people have used the internet as their resource in the business like Esmee Denters and Savannah Outen. Also try to sing at bars, clubs, anywhere where you can get noticed. If you can, pay for some time in a studio and make a demo CD. Send it out to record companies and wait for a response. If you do not get contacted, don't be deceived. Many people try to get record deals so it may be a couple of years 'til they find your CD.

When making a YouTube or MySpace, try to be funny and open-minded. Funny YouTubers usually get attention like VenetianPrincess and open-minded MySpacers usually get attention from more then one fan-based genre.

Try to make friends with struggling artists. They may help you in the future if they get a record deal. Getting a manager can help you out too. A manager doesn't have to be someone famous or bossy. If anything, it could be a close friend.

You can prove the people who doubted you wrong just by letting them hear your voice. They may be blown away by it. Or maybe even write a song about how people assumed you couldn't make it. Those sort of things get attention.

Being an artist can be hard so make sure you ALWAYS have a back-up plan in case things don't go your way. Figure out what you will do as a career to pay rent or anything else.

I know how you feel when you say people assume singing isn't a practical career [I want to become a best selling creative writer] but there will always be people who attempt to bring you down. If you truly believe you can make it in the music industry, then work for it. Keep in mind, it's going to be hard and there will always be people who tell you "you're not good enough." and at times you might believe it too, but just remember that this is your dream and you choose whether to believe in it or not.

So I just don't know if I have gotten OLD or what but this whole new "chatspeak" I've seen online bugs the crap out of me. Is this the new thing to do or what??

Example: Uhhh I dunno. i would. derrr. Jus tell him wat u thinkers.

Ok, so the thing that bugs me is a period after like every other word and derrr and wat instead of what?

Wow, maybe I am just getting old.

I am very into chat speak because, since I am a relatively slow typer, chat speaking abbreviates everything for me like BRB [meaning be right back] Chat speak has been around for a while, I assume and although some people take it to an extreme, I am perfectly fine with it as long as I can understand what they're saying. I think chat speak is popular because people want to stand out and start something new like POS [parent over shoulders]

Ok I just got my braces off (Yay!) and my teeth are SO straight! It looks SO much better, but I'm kind of worried because there are a few places that are like SUPER white on the outer edges of a couple teeth. What is it? Is it normal? How can I get rid of it? Thanks!!!

I have braces now and I have those spots too. They're called white spots and they're from missing some places when you brush your teeth. It's completely normal. In fact, most people do have them. To get rid of white spots, using a fluoride toothpaste is optional, but will help tremendously. [Just a reminder, brush in circles not side to side] White strips are also an option but are a little pricey. I started using a fluoride toothpaste at the end of summer and my white spots are almost all gone. [When my braces come off, I'll buy whiting strips, too]

I just logged online and saw something talking about Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) and her being dead! I love Miley Cyrus and I know a lot of rumors have been going around about her (like Miley Cyrus / Hannah Montana is pregnant by Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers) so I hope her being dead is false too!

So, this said that Miley Cyrus was taken to the hospital for something and actually died there.

So, can someone please confirm if Miley Cyrus (daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus and star of the Hannah Montana show on Disney) is actually dead? I don't want Miley Cyrus to be dead because it would totally be the end of Hannah Montana and she wouldn't be on tour so I wouldn't get a chance to see Miley Cyrus in concert! Ah!

Does anyone know for sure if Miley Cyrus is dead or alive?!

I can accurately assure you Miley Cyrus is still alive. If you watched Ellen Degeneres yesterday, Miley was alive. She even denied the rumors on the show. Here's the link:
