I think I may have social anxiety(sp). Whenever my friends do something without me I start to think they don't like me and and start to get very depressed. I've been depressed a lot lately for different reasons also but I was thinking I may have social anxiety. I'm starting to feel separated from my friends and that I only have one tru friend. I'm also getting depressed more easily. The slightest thing makes me force back tears. Does anyone have an idea as to what this might be? Thank you.

hey! i dont kno enough about you to say yea go get help(even though it could just be a phase) but as a teen myself i as well often feel depressed or like i only have one real friend or im losing my friends. i think what you need to do is talk to your friends or try to be more involved, you dont have to live for your friends but increase your social life(unless its already big), this way you can become more comfortable with your peers, eliminating some of the stress that you experience. also to releave some of the tension try expressing yourself in new ways and realize that you dont need a billion friends, ive found that its the true friends that count and they arent just going to leave you behind dont worry. here is a website that can give you some more information about sp, incase you still are confused about what qualifies you for a disease such as depression or social anxiety disorder. hope it helped!
