i've been playing the guitar for almost 2 years now and i'm pretty good at it... my friends want to start a band but they need a bass player... i was thinking about becoming a bass player. has anyone here played guitar and then started playing bass? is there a big difference? how hard is it to play? and how badly will i get calisis on my fingers? playing bass is very easy. if u have any guitar skill at all, you can master bass and beyond. theres not too much different, unless u play with your fingers, then its learning how to use 2-4 fingers, but most styles of music bass is very easy. if youve been playing guitar consistantly for 2 years your fingers will be calised enought to play bass~ Rock out!
