Whats the best way to get a band together?

Tell everyone that you know that you are trying to start a band and then see who wants to join and then hold auditions or whatever. If you don't know a lot of people with musical talent or who would want to even join a band, make flyers and posters and post them up around town in local supermarkets, and such. Then see who wants to join a band.
