My name is Courtney, and i'm 17 years old. So, I can't seem to get over my crush that i've had for a while. I got this crush when I met him in my schools drama program. I have completely fallen for him, and I know for a fact that he likes my best friend (basically my sister). He gave her a chocolate rose on Valentines Day, and wants to go to prom with her. It totally breaks my heart.
I am so frustrated because we are actually friends, and even worse, WE PLAY A COUPLE IN THE PLAY. every time I try to shake off the crush, we do something adorable in the play and I fall right back into it again. I don't know what to do about this whole situation and I have no one to talk to. (link)

Hey Courtney,
I totally know what you mean, when you have a crush, that person is always on your mind and it can get so frustrating especially being in a situation like yours!
Honestly, it must be pretty hard knowing that he likes somebody so close to you but stay strong, that feeling is temporary and will go away =)
The fact that you guys play a couple in the play probably makes it feel even more frustrating for you, because you sort yourself out and put yourself in a different mindset but then when you're in front of him, it all changes and goes back to how much you're in to him. It's a tough one to deal with, but try not to over-think it, don't let it take over your whole mind. If you can, try to talk to your best friend about it, trust me you'll feel better letting her know.
Try to focus on the play itself, acting is all about forgetting your situation and getting in to the mind of another character. Re-assure yourself, and within time, this will all die down and you'll get back to your old self in no time =)

Take care!
