Hi everybody,

I have decided to start eating healthier and also it would be nice to lose some weight, so I bought myself a smoothie maker.
I thought it would be the best breakfast option to make smoothies, as I they fill me nicely but are v. healthy. Alongside, for both lunch and dinner (although as a university student I generally go for a lunch-dinner anyway) I would make salads with various things, mostly with minimal dressing/sauces.

Would this enable some weight loss along side walking at least 40 minutes a day, if not more? :) I am honestly too busy for proper work outs currently, but later I would like to work in a regular pattern of at-home exercises.

What do you guys think?

That is a terrific start! Eating healthier is the first step to weight loss. And you should lose a bit from just eating healthy, but you will need to exercise as well. As a college student myself I totally understand how busy it is to fit in enough time to exercise. Before you go to bed, and before getting ready in the morning, just do some sit ups for about 5 minutes, it'll get you energized in the morning, and get you ready to sleep at night. Then, you will be ready to make a more active exercise plan. Hope I helped, if you need any more exercise/eating healthy tips let me know.

(Rating: 5) I realize exercise is necessary but hopefully this will be a good start until summer break when I can do a lot more physical things! :) Healthy eating is my main goal, as I realized I've let myself go - I imagine you know how tempting it is to go for the easy food as a busy, tired student...
I am not so worried about weight-loss as ideally, I should only be dropping 5kgs :) And I am not going to starve myself or over-work it.
