I had sex 10 days ago unprotected. My period should have started 7 days ago. I just took the ept home pregnancy test today and it showed not pregnant. As far as I've read 10 days should be enough time for it to show up on a test. What are the reasons that it wouldn't? Could conception have been too close to my period for it to have taken? If so why haven't I had my period yet? Any insight on any of this would be helpful!
(23/f, my man and I are trying for a family so no lectures on protected sex please!)

as far as I know your period might be late because you worry too much about getting or not getting it. I know this is a different situation but i got my period 2 weeks late once because I was stressing over being pregnant. so stress and worrying can cause your period to be late. another possibility is that the pregnancy test was just wrong so you could try taking another one. good luck!
