I'm 12 years old and I really want a facebook so I can socialize with friends and see pics of my friends I no longer get to see since they live somewhere else. They say they dont want me to have a facebook but for no good reson. How can I convince them to let me getba facebook what are some good things about it and what can i say to them that will let me get a facebook. I really want one! ALL my friends have it. I need help. You are still young and your parents are just trying to protect you. Facebook puts yourself and your information out there not only to your friends, but also people you don't know. There are some people on Facebook that will lie about themselves and try to get you to meet them or get more of your information. They might say it's a friend of yours, but it isn't always who you think it is. Even if you are responsible with it, at your age many parents are reluctant to let their child have a Facebook. I'm older than you and in high school and my parents still won't let me have a Facebook, but I know and understand why. Wait a few years and show that your are responsible and they might say yes.
