I'm 19 f; I'm 5 foot and I weigh 220 pounds.

This is the biggest I've ever been. I've always been chubby, but my stomach isn't that bad. It's mostly my face, and my thighs. I'd like to make my stomach more firm so it isn't flabby but anyways.

I'm joining a gym and I'd like to know what excerises are the best? They have a pool and yoga and stuff; so any tips?

Also, anyone know of any successful diets that actually show results? And have a list of foods that I can eat, and times that I should eat?

I'm also taking a pill called Phentomine; my doctor prescribed it to me; when I was last one it, it curved my appietite and helped me lose 40 lbs; once I stopped, I gained it back plus 20 more lbs.

So..?

Any tips, or stories? (link)
I'm 5'4" and I use to weigh 320 pounds. I'm now a comfortable 150. I wasn't happy with myself. Granted most people aren't. The way I lost the weight was I REALLY cut back on fatty foods (fast food, junk foods) and really started to eat healthy, as well as doing cardiovascular workouts. Cardio helps by quickly burning your body fat. But you also HAVE to eat healthy as well as enough to ensure that you always have the energy you will need. In ways of firming my belly, I found that laying flat on your back, arms at your sides, palms on the floor, lift your legs to a 90 degree angle, spread them as wide as you are capable, close your legs, lower them to about 6 inches from the floor, and hold for 3-5 seconds, and repeat. Doing this helps to firm your belly as well as the leg spreading helps thin your legs. As for cardio, go for long fast paced walks, or jogging. This, as I have stated previously, burns body fat. The leg lifts/spreads help with toning your tummy as well as your inner thighs. (I had a problem with my inner thighs due to my being over-weight. This helped thin them out. As for a list of foods, I do not have a list of foods, but do remember, to eat healthy, if you feel the need for something sweet, replace your junky snacks with a fruit of your choice. For meals, eat regularly. Breakfast, Lunch, AND Dinner. Eating properly will help ensure that you lose the weight you wish to lose, as well as giving you the proper nutrients you need. Exercising without eating properly can cause major weight gain problems in your future. In order to maintain the weight you wish to achieve, you HAVE to keep exercising, you can't just exercise, get to the weight you want to be at, and stop exercising, because it'll happen all over again. (The weight gain). I know my description/advice isn't very clean, and kind of jumping back and forth, but as a previous over weight female, I do know what I'm talking about. I would suggest, doing Cardio, those leg lifts, and since you'll be joining a gym, you'll have more access to equipment to help firm/tone other parts of your body. Just remember, DO NOT STOP once you've reached your ideal weight, you HAVE TO KEEP GOING, even after reaching your ideal weight, or you'll end up gaining it back. Hope my everywhere advice helps ya. Good luck and keep at it!
