Is it okay if you don't remove make up before you wash your face with a cleanser? Thanks in advance for all answers

I usually remove my makeup with a cleanser/facial scrub, then finish with an astringent. My skin is fine, since your cleanser does just that, "cleanse" it should be fine. But if you feel the need to, you can clean your make up off with those make up remover pads first. But in my opinion it's unnecessary.
