about
Hi my name is Lee Ann. I am 29 years old and Graduated from Bethany college obtaining a bachelors of music. I am a happily married woman with two kids, ages3 and 2. I currently have six books out on the market, all of which can be found on amazon. The first is called The Leaf: One fallen heart and a burning desire, my second is called Avengement of Glory, my third is called Spiral of Enlightenment, fourth one is called Prodigy of the Immortal, fifth one is called Augment in the Realm of Darkness, and my sixth novel is called Bond in the Spiritual Heart. I started this advice column to see if I could give good advice. Turns out I am pretty good, better than I thought actually. I enjoy seeing people smile when I give them good advice and they use it. It makes me feel better as a person to help people. I want to make the world a better place and I think that starting an advice column is the right way to begin. Writing is a huge part of my life, without it, I wouldn't be able to function properly. After seven years, I think I have done pretty well as an advice columnist.

Hello!
So I'm 16, and I'm not planning on publishing a book anytime soon..but I have this great idea for a book in my mind, and I want to write it, but I always get discouraged because I believe there's no use.. because what will become of it?
I can post it on the writing site I know..but barely any people comment.
Could anyone tell me how books get published and tips?.. I read up on some.. But I'd like to know from real expirenece ..
Thank you so very much! :)
Publishing a book is one hundred percent possible for anyone. When you are starting out, I would suggest going through self-publish places. These are very slow, but it helps get your writing out there and your name established. The more you write, I would up your game on publishing companies. The writing process is the worst part, and getting published it much more easier. A place to check out that are self-publishing places is lulu.com. At this site you have control over everything, the money you make, the front cover design, what goes on the back cover, and even how much editing you want yourself. I would suggest if you go with this site that you have someone read over your stories such as a teacher or a friend. As an author, I can honestly say that having a friend read over what you have written because you will know your work so well, you will miss a lot of basic grammatical errors. I would definitely make a list of ideas for books. When you feel you are ready to go full force on a publishing company after you established your name, there are steps you want to take in choosing one. First you want to identify the genre you wrote about. If you look my name up on amazon, you will see that my genre is a variety going from romance to horror to vampire. Pick a book that you have with the same genre and check out the publishing company they are through. For example, my sixth book is a christian novel so I decided to send my manuscript to the same publishing company that published the notebook and the last song. The websites will identify what they are looking for such as query letters. If you want an example of a query letter just send me an inbox and I can email it to you. A query letter is what you send a top notch publishing company before your manuscript. Sometimes they will want this letter and the first two chapter of your book. Sometimes they want just the letter before reading your story. The letter consists of how long your book is, what it is about, what kind of genre it is, and what kind of audience it will drawn in. Its only about a page long and it also contains contact information for them to get a hold of you. If you have any questions just send me an inbox message.
