Im 14 and scared and nervous to tell my mom i started my period yesterday. Can someone help me out please.:) thanks

Dear "How to tell my mom i got my period ",

Why would you be afraid to tell your mom about this?

You should not be scared about talking to your mom about your period.

She needs to teach you how to use pads and tampons. She needs to go over the health risks involved with tampons and douching.

Go to her and ask her if you can talk to her in private. Then tell her that you got your period and you are nervous. Make sure you ask her how to protect your favorite underwear from accidents.

If you cannot talk to your mom for what ever reason, seek out an adult female and ask her the questions you have.

However, your mom, unless she is a complete failure as a mother, should have already explained this to you and is waiting for you to come to her with this subject.

If all else fails, you can find the answer to any question you have by searching on the net.
