about
< I am a Christian and I am a mother >Hello all. I am a 36 year old married mother of three boys. I have my degree in Forensic psychology and business management- human resources, I work in social services while juggling my three children and a marriage. When I originally joined this community I was excited to get back into what I love and that is helping people through listening, understanding, and guidance. However I quickly found that through my desire to help others, others are helping me. I have found my advice column beyond rewarding. I have found myself getting extremely passionate about each and every question that I read and respond to. The more the questions the greater the connection I have found between people of all walks of life, ages groups, races, gender, and religion. What I have found to be our greatest bind is love. Love for others and the love of being loved.

So, like the title says, I have a terrible memory. It's really bad. I've just turned seventeen, and I'm a girl. Okay, so it's bad to the point of where someone will ask me a question, and 3 seconds later it will fade away, and I won't remember what they asked. Or, I'm in mid-sentence or story, and I'll forget what I was talking about. I also can't remember things from two or three years ago. It's all a fuzzy blur. I'll read a book and forget some of the plot. I'll get up to get something, and when I get there, I'll forget what on earth I was doing. Or, I'll put some water on the stove to boil, and a minute later I'll forget I'm cooking, and then in 10 minutes smell something weird and realize my water is all evaporated and burned. Or, "Hey Ashley, (Made up name.), can you unload the dishwasher for me? Thanks." -Twenty minutes later- "ASHLEY, you didn't unload the dishwasher!" "I didn't what...? OH crap I forgot!!". I'm known among my friend's for having a terrible memory, but it's like, really scary sometimes. If this has anything to do with it, I don't drink pop a lot, but I do get head aches A LOT, and I get dizzy often. I don't want to make a big deal out of it, so I haven't asked my doctor. I have told my mother, but she waved it off as just me being me. But it's getting to the point where I put something somewhere, and I come back and it isn't there, but no one has touched it, so I must've done something with it! And it's happening way too much and too often now... It's gotten worse over the years. So, I'm just wondering if I should be concerned, or if it's just a normal teenager thing. Help would be appreciated, thanks!
I am very worried for you because of the head aches and dizzy spells. These two symptoms can be indicative of something very serious going on. Please go see a doctor. The memory loss could be right along with the other two symptoms I just don't know. But this is your life. Your brain is a very sensitive organ one in which we can not wait around and see what happens. Before it gets worse please go see a doctor and follow up with all appointments. Some times you have to be persistant with doctors. At times they are quick to write you off as having an ear infection or something else not too serious. But this is your life and you deserve a great quality of life. Don't let the doctors cast you aside. You are a real person that matters and your health is all you have if nothing else so promise me you will see a doctor. PLEASE!
(Rating: 5) Thank you for your worry! Although it could just be an ear infection, it couldn't hurt to check right? And it could save me a lot of trouble later.
Thank you for all the concern, it makes me feel pretty good! xDD! Thanks again.
