I'm glad you are being honest and straightforward; open communication is key when it comes to sexual health.
First off, thirteen is a good age to explore and learn about your own body. You don't need a boyfriend right now, and doing something like sex at your age is irresponsible and premature. A boy can't please you if you don't know what feels good, and your body probably isn't ready for sex at your age.
Masturbation is a good way to become familiar with your body. Most girls just use their fingers in the beginning. Feel around gently, and see what feels good. You can get a hand held mirror so you can see your vagina. Find your clitoris, which feels like a little ball under hooded skin. It has many nerve endings, which means it is very sensitive. Stroking this will give you pleasure.
Some people like to do it in the bath tub or shower, others like to dim the lights and do it in their room. Do what is comfortable to you. Make sure your hands are clean before and after and don't worry if it doesn't feel great the first time. You are just starting to come into your sexuality, this may take time.
