Howdy!

You give really good advice, and we are glad to have you here.

There is one request: Please don't answer questions if you don't understand the question. I know it is tempting.

"We're going to need more information than that in order to help..."

... have a look at the other answer to see what they were talking about.

I wouldn't have mentioned it, but a user filed an abuse report on that answer. It is all taken care of now.

Thanks again for all the other advice you give. (link)
I understand, I apologize. I may have been having a senior moment, but I don't think that there was any reply at the time I posted.

I guess I need to catch up on some stuff. The last *I* knew (from about 35 years ago) year books were hard copy only.

I assumed that the question was about something online, but thought that the person was looking for assistance with PHP / HTML / PERL coding.

I completely understand. It seems like there isn't a day that goes by here without me being confronted by something that has been "re-purposed" while I wasn't looking. Here is my favorite example: I once deleted a user for including "FTW" in their username. As long as you or I can recall FTW has been embroidered on biker jackets as: "F The World." Well, sometime in the last few years, it has been re-purposed to mean "For The Win." Oops. It was worked out, and the user is still here, but it was a learning experience for me as well as a few others on the site.

I also wanted to thank you for the quality of your advice. Reading your column is really refreshing. Should you ever need anything here, inbox DangerNerd.
