okay ive had my paragard in for about five days now and i get slight pains now and again, ive also havent been able to orgasm with my partner or be myself and on top of that i cant feel the strings im really scared if something went wrong because i really dont want it taken out i went threw so much pain to get it just to have it taken out, please help (link)

I also have an IUD. If you can't feel the strings after only five days of having it you might not be feeling in the right spot. they should be pushed over to the side and also may have started to curl up. Mine did the same thing, they are curled and up to the side and i can't feel them either. I went to the doctor and she said that i was fine. I didn't personaly start having sex so soon after getting mine in but you are supposed to wait at least two weeks before you have intercourse. Try not having sex for a week or so. If you keep having the pains i would recommend going to the doctor and getting it checked out.
