Hello i went off birth control about 2 or 3 months ago, and my period came regular after getting off it. I was suppose to start my period this past monday and still nothing. I've had cramp-like symptoms like i'm going to start my period but then they go away a little while later. I dont know whats going on. My husband and i have had unprotected sex since i've been off birth control. I was wondering if i could be pregnant? Or should i wait until next week to take a test? I dont have any symptoms like i could be pregnant so maybe the birth control is still working its way out of my system? Thanks in advance!! (link)
It's very possible that you could be pregnant; however, I have switched from being on birth control for over a year to being off of it and missed my period completely and wasn't pregnant. I'm not a doctor or anything, but from my experience and from what I've read on the internet, sometimes women with regular periods miss them because of stress, illness, losing a lot of weight, or hormonal imbalances.

I would buy a two-pack of tests (I usually use First response), use one this week, and then use the other next week to confirm the reading. If both are negative and you still don't show any signs of being pregnant, you probably aren't. Either way, if you are really concerned, getting tested by a doctor is the way to go.
