I'm an ordinary person who likes the following things: writing, helping people, movies, reading, jogging, animals and teaching.
I don't like: stress, confusion, people who do not drag their weight and laziness.
My good qualities (I think) are patience, open-mindedness and the ability to write and speak in public with ease.
My weaknesses (I'm always working on these!) are the tendency to take on too much, from time to time; the tendency to not get enough sleep and my eating habits could be a lot better than they are now.
I will try to answer questions in an honest, open way, involving what I think is common sense. If I don't think I can answer a question well, I will skip over it.

I have to do a job shadow for nest year to help construct a career portfolio. I live in a tiny town with no cool jobs. I would like to be a fashion designer one day. That is my passion, my one love. How do I go about doing this? Seeming as we have no fashioneers around here. Thanks! (link)

Think of jobs that are "related" to the kind of job you want to have in the future. Are there any stores that sell clothing in your tiny town? Fashion merchandising (buying clothes for sale in a store) is related to what you want to do. You could job shadow someone in that career area.
Is there a store in your town that sells fabric? You could job shadow in that kind of store and learn a lot about fabrics....that's related to what you want to do.
What about job shadowing someone who sews clothes....like a tailor shop or in the alterations department of a clothing store? That, too...is related to what you want to do.
You need to think outside the box to think of someting "related" to fashion designing, I think. I wish you much luck.
