I'm normally the first to suggest going to a doctor for things like this. But this time, I'm not so sure.
I have a lump in my neck. I remember first noticing it in my early teens. I'm 31 now. All this time, I've been aware of it, but it hasn't changed so I didn't worry. Now, I'm paranoid. My husband has cancer - hodgkin's lymphoma. I've been tense, and so trying to rub knots out of my neck. So, I've felt it more often than usual and while thinking about cancer. I think it seems bigger, but I think it is probably just the paranoia, the worries about cancer in general. (I kinda feel like veda in My Girl, assuming every little thing is the worst)
I would normally tell someone to ask their doctor about it, but if it has been there 18 years with no change, what are the odds that it is anything? I've been to my doctor a few times recently (a couple times to update meds, and then I managed to get meningitis around thanksgiving). I feel like I've been in far too much recently.
I'm also a little afraid to bring it up. I'm afraid a biopsy will be done. If it turns out to be nothing, I will have been cut open for nothing. If it turns out to be something, well, I just don't think I can handle that. My husband having cancer, then me getting meningitis, it is already too much.
So, what do you think? (link)
Im not that old,so you might not want my advice. But id like to try anyhow (: I know that you might be worried about the WHAT IF'S that will come with going to the doctor, but youre really just going to have to disregaurd those and do whats best for your health. Think about it this way... You might not have anything wrong with you at all and you might have had a biopsy for nothing,BUT at least you dont have to sit and worry about the possibility of having something wrong with you. You might end up finding out that there is something wrong with you..BUT at least you now know what the problem is and you can have it treated so that you wont have to worry anymore.

i really hope this helped.

xoxo,taylor.

Yeah, I know that. I also don't want to add to the drama that is already going on.
