Q: I know most people would think that it is a bad idea to be friends with your ex right away, but neither me or him want to stop being friends. The thing is that even though I broke up with him, I still have some feelings for him and he still does too. But I'm dealing with them and trying to make them go away. But he told me that he is scared of us hating eachother one day. I would never want that to happen. Does anyone know how we can stay friends without risking ruining the friendship altogether? Thanks.

That's a good thing that you want to stay friends. It sounds like the both of you need to try and put your focus on a different interest. If you want to be friends, avoid talking about how you care about each other for a while and be a buddy to him. Helping each other find hot guys/girls could be a fun friend thing to do if you want those feelings to go away. Instead of spending a bunch of time alone with him, do group things together that way you won't feel like the relationship is intimate. If the both of you have feelings for each other and don't want to end up hating each other than chances are you won't. Eventually you guys will either find that you can be great friends or that you have the potential to be something more.

Thanks for the ideas. You're right, I think that maybe one day we can be something more again but right now I have issues knowing how to be a "good girlfriend". And even if we never date again I know I'll always have my best friend. :) Thanks again.
