i'm 14/f. theres this one guy i've been best friends with for almost 3 years. especially this year we've grown apart. we barely talk and i always feel like his last priority. and also i don't feel comfortable asking him for advice anymore because he yells at me and makes me feel worse. i really want to go back to how we used to be. and i've talked to him about it but it hasn't done much good. what should i do? Hey!
I'm sorry about you and your best friend. That's EXACTLY what happened to me and my best friend when we were fourteen and I was so mad about it! We had been friends since 2nd grade and then all of a sudden when we were fourteen we just totally fell apart. Like, we never sat at lunch together and we never hung out like we used to. I ended up moving away and I always wonder what would've happened between us, because we had such a great relationship but as we got older we just separated. Usually that's what happens though, when your that age guys like to hang out with the guys and girls like to hang out with the girls.
If you really want your relationship to go back to the way it is, you should really try & get the point across to him. Either write him an e-mail or a letter so that way he can't yell at you to make you feel worse. Or, you could try and talk to him over the phone. Just tell him that you miss how yall used to be and you just want things to go back to how they used to be. Sometimes it is natural though, and eventually he'll come around but right now he'd rather be with the guys.
