I play softball all the time. ive been told i play too much. since its winter now i go inside so i can still play. anyway
a couple of weeks ago my knee was acting up so my parents took me to the doctor to see if anything was wrong. my doctor (who happens to be the most paranoid person i know) told us to go the hospital. when we got there they did tons of work on my knee and i got an MRI. 4 hours after we got there we found out i had torn my ACL. we've obviously seen more then one doctor about it and two out of the three said that i probably wont be able to play again. they told me that i could swim. i mean swimming isnt bad .... but i love softball ..... any suggestions about dealing with this loss...or any other sports i can do in place of my quote on quote "softball addiction" ?
thanks
I'm sorry it must not have sent my whole thing, but I tore mine when I was 15, and I love basketball. The next 6-8 months are going to be hell, and you'll feel like giving up, but just keep pushing hard. If this is your senior year in softball, you will not be playing, I'm sorry. But if it isn't and you still have years left in you, then just work hard in therapy, and when its time next year, kick ass! Swimming is REALLY good for your knee, esp. after surgery. good luck & if you have anymore questions feel free to ask!!
(Rating: 5) thanks. yeah my doctor is really paraniod so we have to go see him a lot and he says that going to have to do a lot of physical therapy and stuff but when i shattered my hand i had to do PT too....but never on my legs. its not my senior year THANK GOD im 13. my older brother tore his too playing baseball so i kinda know the drill.
thanks so much !!
