This guy I like/liked [i don't really know anymore] told me before christmas break that he liked me alot, asked me if i liked him, i said yes. and i SERIOUSLY liked him alot. And then we didn't talk much over xmas break, and I got pissed at him and we got in a fight, didn't talk for a little. and then i come home sick one day and I see that he is IN A RELATIONSHIP with his ex girlfriend [whom i might add always complained about him and said how annoying he was AND she just got dumped the week of christmas break by some guy] so rebound much? I didn't even SEE this one coming. So now ... its been like 3 weeks theyve been togehether or something, and it's like they are haunting me. [he's in one of my classes] I see him and her at the movies. in the hallway. before classes. at lunch. I just don't know what to do. AND it's always like he's wanting me to see them together. Because when he hugged her today, he looked at me and it was like intense. but i broke away from his stare. and like, they sai i love you to eachohter on the second day they were going out. YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY LOVE SOMEONE IN A DAY. it's just not RIGHT. and she picniks all of their photos on facebook saying .. i love you (link)

You weren't in a relationship, so he had every right to get into one with somebody else. It sounds like you're jealous. The only reason he would flaunt it is if he's:
a)angry with you
b)trying to make you jealous
Either way, he doesn't sound like a really great guy. Try to avoid him and stop and think if he's really trying to rub it in your face. I mean, it would be pretty difficult for two people to coordinate a constant show like that. Just try to start getting over it. It doesn't sound like it was really ever that serious anyway.
And to answer your first question. Yes. You could be without food, clean water, school, proper housing and health care like most of the world. It can get worse.
