about
I'm a 24 year old working woman. I've been all over the world and finally found my home in Toronto Canada. I work long hours in pursuit of my dreams in the film industry. But why am I doing this? As a woman who used to be part of the dating world, I remember the joys, frustrations and struggles of it all. But now as a woman in love, I'm also finding myself immersed in a new world of happiness and companionship (lol however the struggles and frustrations rear their head a bit)
Anyhoo, I'm used to dishing out advice to my single and taken friends, family, and co-workers and they suggested that perhaps someone else could benefit from this as well.
So here I am... a healthy listener who just wants to the world to be content with itself

I've recently begun to think about my future, and I figure that I'm becoming about the age when I can get a job. So, I've decided I'm going to start making a rough draft of what I want my future to look like and how much it will cost so I can know what my general goal is. I've already done a bit of research, but I'd rather have other opinions and facts to compare what I'm thinking too. So, here it goes:
-I am going to begin studying for my drivers permit as soon as I turn 15 so I'll only have to wait 1 more year to get my license. This being said, I'm going to start my saving for a car. What is the average insurance cost for a 16 year old girl? Also, any recommendations on the type of car to get? I don't care about fancy cars, as long as it gets me from point A to point B and has good mileage.
-I already know I want to go to college. My previous semester (freshman year) GPA was 3.507 and I'm working on raising it in order to get a good scholarship. I also play volleyball and I'm hoping that will help me get into college on a scholarship as well. I was thinking as a career choice that I could be an author, graphic designer, architect, or illustrator, but I have yet to narrow down that list. So, I probably need to go to an arts school, but I'd still like to have a good degree and whatnot. Any college or scholarship reccomendations?
-Last, for now, I would like to have a rhinoplasty surgery (Nose job) when I get older. This may seem kind of silly, but it really means a lot to me and no one is going to change my mind. So, does anyone know (for a FACT) of any good surgeons in a nice, clean facility with an experienced staff? I'm looking for cheap, but I want it to be a good job, so if it must be expensive, I'll pay. The thing about this goal is I don't know at what time I should get it. I mean, I know I'll probably get it sometime before I'm out of college, but I'm not sure when would be the best timing.
Those are 3 of my top goals for now, though I'm sure I'll probably add more some time later. Please do not critisize my desicions, I have already made up my mind. I would love ANY advice you could possibly give me on ANYTHING that might help and I will rate. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!!!!!
Okay so this is going to down and dirty and honest.
1. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of jobs for 14 year old. Malls, grocery stores, and basically anywhere that deals it money exchanging hands, have laws that restrict their hiring around 16 years of age.
2. Insurance for teenagers is especially expensive, because their driving is so unpredictable but you'll notice it'll get cheaper as you age. Good starter cars however are usually Honda Civics because they're under 15 grand and really safe.
3. Rhinoplasty eh? To be honest I don't know any good surgeons because I've never had the need to research them. However I can say that most responsible doctors (the ones that do good work) will not preform a rhinoplasty on a girl your age until you're in your 20s because your nose never really stops growing.
Anyways I love your ambition, I can totally see you getting a scholarship and heading to college and reaching most of your goals. Just remember not to stress about it. There will be plenty of time for that later
Good luck!
(Rating: 5) Thanks so much! I hope I can reach all of my goals as well!
