i just turned 17 years old ill be off to college in about 6 to 7 months .im a nice person im a good communicater.i want to answer peoples advices mainly because ive been through some things in my life too and wished during those times that someone could have giving me some advices.i well take your advice serious, only if your serious too .

I like this kid in my school (I'm in 8th grade by the way so that may help) and im not so sure he cares much. He knows I like him and ive given him a few small presents for the sake of giving a present and he really liked I. So I don't know if he liked it because I gave it to him or because he said it looked cool.
Also I'm kinda hyper in school and really tomboyish and I like most guy things(e.g. Videogames shooting movies and hate the color pink) he knows I'm like that. But my real problem is he likes another person but just found out she doesn't like him. How do I ask him out without sounding desperate? (link)

Well you see my problem is I don't want my parents knowing I crush on guys because then they'll try to get into my busyness and I don't want that. So with your idea of inviting him over to my house will make my parents suspicious unless I do it as a group party even girls and boys and parents MUST be home. It's my parents rule
