Oh and if you're wondering, I'm fresh meat to advicenators. It's pretty sick--like sick in a good way. Lol. So far my comments on this site is merely this, "YG, adopt me!" Just kidding. Google leaded me here, and the rest is history. Or soon will be...You get the point. Anyway, I guess I'm here to not only help out questioners but also to be a questionee. [If that makes sense]. I know my advice isn't the best and may be a tad cheesy, but I can't help it; that's just me. If you need help, my inbox is always open for any question [that's appropriate, of course] so don't hesitate. I rarely bite, raWr.
advice
Hi, I am 14/F
I am a veryyyyyy confident person. I hang out with guys allllll the time, which is part of the reason I am currently single. (I swear they think I am one of the boys. Plus they are intimidated by me being Student Body President) ANyways, I act completely chill around all of them, except for a certain boy named Don. I have had the biggest crush on him for 2 years. I get really nervous around him and I can't think of anything to say. His friend, however, is also someone I like. I have known him since 4th grade. We have been best friends ever since. I have a HUGE crush on him, and I don't get weird around him at all.
I guess my question(s) are:
1. Why am I nervous around Don and not his friend?
2. What can I do to not be as nervous?
3. Do guys really find being Student Body President that intimidating??
Please help me woth any of these questions.
Thanks,
Lys
I think you're nervous around Don because usually when you crush on someone, you worry about everything. Your hair, your make up, even your breath and that's completely understandable. I assume the reason you are not nervous around Don's friends is because you don't like them in a crushing way.
Being nervous, unfortunately, is inevitable. No matter how much you try to avoid it, it still happens and it sort of relates to having butterflies in your stomach. All I can really advise you to do is stay relaxed and calm about everything.
I think most guys would find it intimidating that you are student body president because you have so much power over your peers. Being president shows that you are a real leader and that you have potential to succeed. If I were you, I'd find it flattering:]
