When I try to perform a song...there's a disconnect between what I'm singing & how I'm feeling. I need some advice on how to captivate myself in the emotions the artist wants me to feel.
Particularly, "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack.
what is it about?
thanks! (link)
I didn't know this song before and I've listened to it now before I can reply you, It's such a beautiful song, Well..I think you just need to listen to it's music alot...feel it inside of you...let it get into you...and read the lyrics...understand it...feel it...the lyrics are like someone telling a story but in a beautiful way..try to feel this story, feel the words...and imagine it when you sing it..think of this story...feel the passion of the music, Sometimes it helps too to think of someone close to you when you sing, or a certain situation that might be related to the song. Hope that I helped..Good luck with the song:)
