im 18 years old/female
this friday my best friend turns 18 and i took off the whole weekend for work because of course we're going to be celebrating! well her and her friends decided that on her actual birthday (friday) that we're all going to go out to eat, go to the club and then go back to her house. the only problem is, ive NEVER been to the club before, i just never wanted to go. i dont know how to dance for the life of me and it made me mad because she knows i dont go to the club but of course im going to go because it's her birthday, and i wanna celebrate it with her! all her friends are club junkies and go to the club pretty much every weekend so they all know how to dance. she isn't a very good dancer, just like me but she doesn't care she still wants to go. i just feel akward dancing with people i don't know. i've never danced with a guy before (not even at school dances) and i DONT know how to grind or dirty dance with a guy, which is all they do at the club. all her friends are like its okay just dance with all of us and if a guy comes up to you, and you dont want to dance with him we'll take care of it. but i know that there going to be dancing with guys so i don't want to just be standing there looking like an idiot and my cousin's crush is going too so im sure that she is going to be paying alot of attention to him and she said that if she danced with anyone, it would only be him. im pretty sure guys are going to want to dance with me (because ive been told by so many people im gorgeous) not trying to be conceited at all! but i just dont want to dance with guys! i dont know what to do, someone help me please with this situation. i'm going to go, no doubt because it's my best friend but i just hate dancing!!!! and i know people say it's easy to grind but for me i have no rhythm and i look like an idiot when i try!! i don't want to make a fool of myself out of EVERYONE there! same exact probelm my frand had :]
all i friecken do is party,and my frand wanted to come w/me but she didnt know how to dance fer shit.
so like i tought her.
i suggest you ask yer frands if they can teach you,
and make sure they know yer serious because it looks like you really wanna learn lol.
and also kinda dumb,
but you should totally watch youtube videos.
that also helped my frand=]
she watched like billions of them and would practice with them..
i really hope i helped!
dont feal bad though some people just are born dancers and some not.
honestly i think you should not give a fck and go fer it,
just have fun :)
ohh also you should drink a lil bit before.
it will totally loosen you up and you'll have more courage ya know.
