Q: ok so this year my school is starting a rotational schedule and so everyone has the same lunch period at the same time. and so i have one group of friends of ~ 6 people and then my other best friend who is not part of that clique -- she has her own circle of friends.
i want to sit with both groups but both sides are assuming i'll sit with them, and idk who to sit with! last year i sat with the group of 6 because my other bff didn't have lunch the same period as me.
honestly, i wanted to sit in a classroom and do homework during lunch after i ate with my other bff but i still need someone to sit with during actual lunch if i choose not to do homework one day.
sitting with the group of 6:
- PRO: i'd be in on the gossip (i wouldn't "fall" out of the circle)
- CON: i can't sit with my bff and i don't want to lose her as a friend
sitting with my bff:
- PRO: i get to see her cause i love her and she might do homework with me!
- CON: i might start falling out of the circle / the circle might get mad.
i know in the end it's upto me, and please don't say "one person vs. six" cause she has helped me more than those six people have combined.. i don't think i can sit with both cause my bff is friends with only one person in my circle.
(1) what do you think i should do?
(2) do you think i could possibly sit with both the girl and my group, encouraging that she talks to both me and the only other person that she's friends with in my circle?
