There is this girl who was a semi-close friend for about a year who went to my school. Ever since I started dating my boyfriend, she has started acting like a total psychopath. First, she has kept flirting with him and touching him inappropriately (a.k.a, too much hugging and stuff.), although he makes it perfectly clear that he does not like her at all. Next, she began telling my mother that we were making out in between play rehearsals in front of the little kids. Also, when she spent the night over at my best friend’s house, she started talking about ‘how much of a slut I was’, ‘how I totally sucked at acting’, and how my boyfriend wanted her more. It’s kind of obvious that he doesn’t like her, but she always tells me that they are ‘just friends’. Anyways, I have to spend two weeks with her at a boarding school this summer. How am I going to tell her that I don’t want her anywhere around us anymore? HOW DO I DEAL WITH THIS PSYCHO? (link)

Wow...you need to get the truth out here. It kinda seems like this girl is trying to sabotage your budding relationship. I think its nothing more than jealousy and it needs to be stopped before it gets out of control. You should tell her that the lies are really ruining your friendship and if it doesnt stop thats the end.
If your boyfriend trusts you, he wont let her ruin your your relationship. But i think you guys need to sit down and talk about this.Tell both of them how you feel,what youve heard, but dont accuse until you have the facts but merely question her on the subject and if you need to, ask the people shes been around when you started dating this guy.
Then again, your friend could be trying to get your attention. I know theirs been times where i didnt particularly like who my friend was dating because i liked him myself or whatever the reason, so i would try to lure her away from him.
But ive learned that just throws your friendship to hell when you do that, especially when youve known her the longest which i dont know if thats the case with you or not.People can go to extreme lengths for attention and maybe now that hes come into the picture she feels like a third wheel or suddenly less important than him.

It's obvious that she is totally infatuated with him; she has told all my friends that she is better for him, and that he is in love with her. Well, I can say that I am sure that he likes me, as we've been happily going for about nine months. It's getting tough, because it's gone past just 'getting attention' for now. Now it's just her trying to ruin my relationship. My two best friends were witnesses to her acting like this; she even told my friend's mom that I was a b---h and that I was always cussing in front of the little kids at rehearsal. Well, a big problem is that we were supposed to take her down to the Governer's School of Math and Science this year, the LONG drive down, because her mom couldn't take her (apparently going to a Toby Keith concert is more important than taking her daughter to get a national award). Well, now my mom doesn't want her near me, or even in the same car, so we need to find a way to tell her mom that she either apologizes and quits or just doesn't come. Well, it's all very complicated, and I need help ^.^
