I've had a parakeet for a couple years and right now he's not doing to well. A couple days ago I noticed he's having a hard time flying to his pirch in his cage and now he just lays at the bottom of the cage. I went out to get him bird vitamins and put them in his food and water ich he hass been eating and drinking. I really can't afford to take him to the vet, I just had to take my two dogs there and paid an arm and a leg. And I don't want to take him there to pay four hundred dollars and have them say they can't do anything for me. Does anyone know what i should do or what a vet would do? A answer from past experience would be most appreciated instead of an " I think they'd do this" answer. If your a vet it would be very helpful if you could give me a fe tips.
much appreciated

i think he/she probably feels lonely. Have you thought about getting him a partner? Maybe you could search the internet on parakeet sickness or you could even call petco customer service and ask them about it. Hope i helped. Let me know how he/she is doing!!!!!xoxoxo
