What does someone mean when they say that they "have to pick a bone with her"? (link)

When you have a bone to pick with someone it means you have something to talk to them about but it usually means they did something wrong or outrageous and you have to talk to them about it.The bone is the problem and when you talk about it that is the pick part.
Example: I heard Ashley started smoking cigarettes and I didn't approve of it and she hadn't told me...This would be the problem I have to talk to her about
