14f How old do you need to be to get your belly button pierced? I dont want to tell my mom but I want it done. Is there anyway around that?
Could you pierce it yourself? I seen it done in the movie thirteen.. they made it seem easy.

You have to be 18 years old in most states to get professional piercings/tattoos done. Other states, the law could be 16 or even 17 years old. You always need parental consent if you're underage. A lot of people pierce it themselves, however the risk of infection and rejection are so much higher! My one friend pierced her own and the skin around the naval started to rot away. I know it's disgusting, but it's a bad idea to do it by yourself, no matter how clean you are. And please don't follow movies because it's all fake anyway. The best thing you can do is talk to your mom about it or wait until you're old enough, sorry. :/
