i try to be as real as i can be. i'll be honest with you and if i can, i will answer as many questions as possible. i won't tell you to do the easiest thing or the most convenient. i care about doing the right thing, but i can list the possibilities. it's your decision, so please don't blame me if you feel like you've made a mistake. i just pointed out what you can do.

I have been best friends with a guy named Dan for over five years. We get along so well, and we kind of flirt with eachother. Now, I've begun to realize that I like him, more than just a friend. It's the classic situation: I want to tell him how I feel but I'm so scared that it'll ruin the friendship (if he doesn't like me, that is). Right now we're really close, but we flirt, so it's not like that weird, brother and sister relationship. What should I do? I'm running out of time because a lot of girls like him and I don't think he'll be single for too long. Thanks (link)

i had a relationship like this and i told him. i also knew his best friend liked him and she is also one of my friends. if you really like him, or even love, then i say go for it. i don't have any regrets about telling him, so i think it would be better if you tell him now, while the situation is more simple than when it turns your life into a soap opera. it's better than wonering 'what if.'
