I was just curious about this, but if you are under 17, are you allowed to buy R rated movies from Walmart? Or does the same rule apply to this situation like it is when you go see an R rated movie in the theaters (showing an ID). (link)

No, I highly doubt that if you go to Walmart and buy an "R" rated movies that they are going to ask for ID. It does not work the same way as if you were watching a movie at the theater.
