I am 15 and I heard the older you get the worse it hurts after you get your tonsils out. How much does it hurt for a teenager, and what do they do like before and after surgery

I got mine taken out when I was 19 and it was the worst pain I have ever felt. It took me awhile to recover from the surgery and I lost 20 pounds. I'm sure having it done by a navy doctor didnt help...

well thats encouraging! but thanks! I got it done today, it's not so bad... yet. i'm already eating like potatos and scrambled eggs and stuff. I'm glad, mine doesn't sound as bad as yours! Thanks again
