First of all, I'm a girl and my friend is a guy. We're both in high school. I like him, and he knows it, but we are still really good friends, even though it did hold us down for a while. Anyway, there are several things I need help on. 1 is that he has a girlfriend, which he says he loves, but he is always depressed and afraid of being hurt, and thinks she doesn't care enough about him, which might be true, but he's always telling me about how sad he is, and I care about him a lot, but I don't know how to help him. I want him to feel better. I want to be there for him when he needs me. 2 is that I really like him. A lot. I wish there was away I could show him that I care more than he'll ever know, and I'm the one he needs. When he describes what he wants, it's what I want too, but he likes this other girl. I was fine with them being together at first, because he was happy and she was becoming my friend, but then she became bitchy to me and he was always depressed. I need advice. Thanks. (link)

First of all i know exactly how you feel...about like your guy friend. It really sucks to see a friend in need and you don't know how to help. You need to tell him how you feel about his situation...let him know that your there for him, even if you've already told him, tell him again. He'll come to you as soon as he realizes what a great friend, person you are. His relationship with this girl isn't as healthy as it seems if he is becoming depressed often.
