AdviceFor an english project, I have to read three books that all have a theme. My theme is "Books that were part of an tenth-grade English curriculum in the 1900s." I've tried google, but I can't really find anything. Old times on the Mississippi - Mark Twain The Mill on the Floss - George Eliot The Rise of Silas Lapham - W.D. Howells Heart of Darkness - Joseph Conrad Seth Jones - Edward Ellis The above are specifically American literature, but you may also want to consider - Frankenstein - Shelley Anything by Jane Austin The Time Machine - H.G. Wells I suppose it depends on the time periods you have to take into account - and whether you have to provide evidence that they were on the syllabus. (Rating: 5) thank you sooo much! |
