Ok this week was my first week of high shcool and almsot every homework we did, I busted my ass off and stayed up late doing it and the teacher doesn't even collect it!

Honestly, your 'five pages from the textbook, math sheets, and more' sound like heaven on earth compared to the work I get =\ (I'm up until two AM almost every day, and school barely started). But anyway.
The point of doing homework is (at least, a teacher will tell you this) so you will be prepared for school the next day and will better know the material. Even though it gives you more practice with what you learned in school, frankly, I hate it to death, and I hope it falls into hell. The only reason I waste my time with it each day is because it only gets collected on days I don't do it; and if your luck is as great as mine, you should start doing yours, too. Unless you don't mind failing. D:
